It takes a massive amount of people, time, money and effort to put on a Festival of this size, yes sometimes there are times we wonder why we put ourselves through it all, but the end result always makes it all worthwhile.
We'd like to take a few moments to say THANK-YOU to everyone that is involved and supports the Kington Langley Scarecrows Festival, no matter how big or small your support is appreciated.

Builders - we salute your ingenuity, dedication and competitive spirit! All our scarecrows are made by individual (not a committee!) and each has it's own special character. It's strange the bond that develops between Scarecrow and builder! Some are simple, some are elaborate, all are loved and welcomed.

Volunteers - we rely on an army of volunteers from in and around the village to man the tea-tents, cook the burgers and sausages and help you park your car. It's a big logistical task but the community comes together to make it happen.

Sponsors - we fund the event upfront with the support of our Prime sponsors and many local businesses who sponsor a scarecrow. This year our prime sponsors are:
  • Atwell Martin
  • Langley Fitzurse C of E Primary School
  • TWS Plumbing

Local businesses - thanks to:
  • Limetree Farm, Church Farm and the Village Playing Fields for allowing us to park cars on their land. This is immensely important as parking in our village is scarce at the best of times, so thanks to these wonderful folks we are able to keep traffic to a minimum and cars parked off the main road.
  • We would also like to thank Langley Fitzurse School in Kington Langley who help us with the programme printing.
  • Matt Candy at MC Event Loos for such lovely loos, always a relief!
Committee - we have a committee of 13 people who meet throughout the year to plan the event and make it happen. They will be wearing white polo shirts on the day, so give them a hug and say "well done" - you'd be surprised how much difference that makes!
